The name Pit Crew does draw a strong analogy from the world of motor racing. A pit crew, in any successful motor racing team is a vital part of the working unit. Though, rarely in the spotlight, the pit crew use their knowledge, skills and experience to deliver a vehicle which complements the skills of the driver.

Only through team work, communication and collaboration can the pit crew and the driver deliver a winning combination – and neither can achieve success without each relying on the commitment and capability of the other.
